The Construction

This exhaust is crafted from 304 stainless steel and tig-welded to perfection, designed and engineered with principles identical to our Z1 Modular Y-Pipe, putting sound and build quality first. The race exhaust begins with a cast stainless steel flange, tig-welded to mandrel bent 3'' stainless steel piping. From there, it leads to a 12'' stainless steel bottle-style resonator. The resonator's purpose is to reduce unwanted rasp and drone and help the system produce a clean exhaust note that is not overbearing when compared to other single-exit exhausts. To dampen resonance and drone, a dual-layer packing is utilized inside the resonator, consisting of an inner layer of stainless steel packing and an outer layer of fiberglass. The packing is held in place by a perforated stainless steel core. Following the resonator, the mandrel bent 3'' pipe carries exhaust gasses to a single 6'' muffler that exits under the left side of the rear bumper. Each muffler includes a removable dual-wall silencer, used to reduce sound output when sound limits are restricted.
