The Z1 V2 Road Race Clutch Kit is a high-performing lightweight clutch for heavy-duty street and race track applications. By combining some of our best clutch components with our new easy-to-install V2 CSC Elimination Kit, we were able to assemble a clutch that offers exceptional performance, consistency, and lifespan.

HYDRAULIC UPGRADES

A high failure point of the 370Z and G37's clutch system is the factory, plastic-bodied slave cylinder. Intense heat experienced inside of the transmissions bellhousing leads to accelerated wear and imminent failure, often when demand is the highest.  At the heart of the new Road Race Clutch Kit is our newly designed V2 CSC Elimination Kit. This product is an evolution of our original CSC Elimination and was designed to provide a long service life, hassle-free installation, and eliminate the need for adjustments. It includes a specially machined billet front cover, chromoly fork and pivot ball, cast stainless steel brackets, and a genuine OEM Slave Cylinder.

Reliability is the most important factor, so our version 2 CSC elimination has undergone significant testing on the street and the track to ensure it can stand up to the rigors of everyday use. All wear items such as the slave cylinder, release bearing, and front cover seal are genuine OEM parts, meeting Nissan's strict standards and ensuring they are ready for anything you throw at them.

HIGH CLAMP CLUTCH

The V2 Road Race Clutch is an evolution from our original road race clutch. The V2 employs a new crimp-style pressure plate that offers moderate weight savings compared to its predecessor along with reduced pedal effort and a clamp load matched to our previous generation pressure plate. Our reinforced pressure plate is stamped from thicker gauge steel than the OE plate providing more rigidity than any OE style clutch. This rigidity provides a 3000 lb clamp load with minimal deflection making for more solid engagement with less opportunity for slippage. A Z1 Lightweight Flywheel is also included, reducing weight by an additional 16.2lbs over the stock dual-mass flywheel.

This kit uses a lightweight solid hub full-face clutch disc to help shorten the time between clutch release and power transfer to the rear wheels. This disc is constructed of an enhanced high-fiber material that offers smooth engagement while maintaining a good burst strength. Two different-sized clutch discs are offered as part of this new kit, both offer reverse shear protection and employ Marcel springs to improve performance on the street.

  • 240mm: This is the disc of choice for road racers that want the lightest clutch possible. The solid hub disc also weighs 20% less than similar-sized sprung hub discs further aiding in the quick transfer of power and reducing wear on synchro's when shifting at high RPM's.
  • 250mm: Because of its increased diameter, the 250mm disc offers greater thermal and torque capacity for use in higher-power cars. If you also street drive your car, this is the recommended option.

This is a great kit. It’s an upgrade that most DIY folks can handle. The installation instructions are pretty straightforward. I can definitely notice a difference. You just need to be patient and wait till it’s on sale. Z1 has plenty of on sale periods. It’s worth full price, but if you wait till it’s on sale you can take the savings and buy more parts lol. First Impressions as I just got this kit installed on 3/11/2024 and the pedal is easily 3x heavier/harder to depress. Still dailyable but your leg will feel the difference !(drop in clutch engagement point is quite high aswell). Overall quality parts and my shop had no trouble installing all parts, I will update if I have any additional insight. As the norm for Z1 shipping was fast and on time ! I ordered the parts on Mon and needed them by that Fri for a Monday install, got them on Thurs of that week !

This kit is a perfect "one-stop-shop". Just bought our 2nd Z and the CSC gave out on the drive home. The mid-weight flywheel & unsprung full face disc is an absolute dream. Best driving experience I've had out of a Z from this kit.
