Z1 Motorsports 350Z G35 VQ35DE Performance Parts

Z1's 370Z / G37 Performance Clutch Package fits '08+ G37s and '09+ 370Zs equipped with the VQ37VHR engine and is capable of holding the power of all naturally aspirated and most forced induction applications up to 500 ft-lb tq while at the same time reducing the total weight of the clutch and flywheel assembly up to 18lbs less than stock.

Package includes :

AVAILABLE CLUTCH TYPES

Two different clutch types are available in this package, offering flexibility in power support and driving style. Both clutches utilize pressure plates with a low spring load. A low spring load eases lateral force on the main thrust bearings in your engine, which is especially important during "dry" start-up, lessening the likelihood of "crank walk".

Z1 Performance Street Clutch - This package utilizes a pressure plate with a moderate clamping load, supporting more power without the stiff pedal and increased effort that comes with most performance clutches. With a standard disc, this clutch is perfect for naturally aspirated and boosted street cars making around 500-550whp. With a 6-puck disc, expect this clutch to support in the realm of 600whp.

Z1 Road Race Clutch - This package utilizes a pressure plate with a high clamping load and is capable of supporting substantially higher levels of power over OE-type clutches. We generally recommend this clutch for users that prefer a more aggressive engagement or power capacity. This clutch works great for road course track cars and can support power levels beyond 600whp with the standard disc. When used with a 6-puck disc, we have confidently used this clutch up to and beyond 700whp.

For drag racers, we recommend our Drag Pack Clutch Kit, complete with nodular iron flywheel and high clamp pressure plate.

Three different disc options are available. Both full-face discs have reverse shear protection and employ Marcel springs to improve performance on the street.

  • Z1 Sprung Hub Full Face (Standard) - This disc is a great choice for street-driven cars. The sprung hub allows for easy engagement with minimal noise and also works well for stock-like driveability in moderate to high horsepower applications. Disc weight: 3.5lbs
  • Z1 Unsprung Full Face - This disc is a great choice for street and track cars that want the lightest disc. The unsprung hub allows for more aggressive engagement in moderate to high horsepower applications. These clutches have a more 'harsh' engagement than a standard sprung hub clutch, so some adjustment to your driving style may be necessary on street-driven applications. Disc weight: 2.8lbs
  • Z1 Ceramic 6-Puck - This disc is best suited for high-horsepower cars, and has the most aggressive engagement of the three options. Engagement is quick due to it's 6-puck design, so some adjustment to driving style will be needed to compensate for its aggressive engagement, however, this disc can still be used on street-driven cars. Disc weight: 4.0lbs

  • Z1's V2 CSC Elimination Kit is the best way to rid your HR/VHR drive line of that pesky Concentric Slave Cylinder that seems to have a lifespan of.... well.... who knows how long it will last? Choose to install this elimination kit when replacing your clutch/flywheel and never worry about having to pull your transmission again for hydraulic issues.

Very satisfied with this kit, combined with the CSC V2. Clutch seems to grab slightly more than OEM. The Flywheel is really a big upgrade compared to stock, heel-and-toe feels very satisfying plus it requires only a tad more throttle than OEM. The CSC makes the clutch pedal quite hard, but i really like it, however it was a pain to bleed, i recommend using the reverse bleeding technique which helped a lot.

I have about 2 years and 5k miles on my kit now. I went with the street kit. Everything works great with it and it drives like I expected. I bought my kit at the same time as the JWT HD CSC (looks like it’s not available from Z1 at the moment) and a new OEM master cylinder. The upgraded CSC is very stiff at first and makes the clutch pretty heavy, but it wears in with some miles. The clutch has a slightly snappier bite than OEM, but it’s definitely still something you can daily - just sportier. Highly recommend for someone who needs a clutch replacement and wants something sportier than OEM.

I ordered the 14-lb Flywheel, standard full-face composite clutch. I wasn't given an option for the pressure plate (at the time). The stock flywheel was annoying me so I installed this on my upgraded Base trim 2020 370z and it's awesome, it revs so fast. At first the clutch pressure was so strong I had a hard time pressing the clutch in, but after a couple weeks I feel like it's worn in and much smoother to use. Highly recommend. The flywheel does chatter when sitting still in Neutral but that is expected and normal. I love it. (also, driving in traffic isn't as bad as I thought, no issues)

This one I'm kind of mixed on. I wish I would've just been patient and waited for the puck disc option. The engagement is really easy and my wife's likes to drive the car a little more now, so that is a big positive. I just feel like I have taken a step back. I just prefer a more aggressive clutch kit with a lighter flywheel.

For the price, this is an amazing clutch combo that I purchased for my 2014 370z. I got the light flywheel upgrade which is a noticeable performance gain. Over all good quality and as always, amazing customer service. 10/10 would recommend and going to purchase a clutch kit for my 1990 300zx next!

Works great when it’s cold it’s crispy shifts an not noisy but after 30min of real driving the shifts get weird like gummy an it starts to chatters so much!

Very detailed instructions and very explanatory for measurements. Overall great kit would recommend to other people, but I do have a abnormal amount of chatter in gear for some reason I followed all instructions for measurements of the stack high and I know there will be chatter in neutral because of the light weight fly wheel. I just want to know if that is normal or not.

This product is super nice. Quality is amazing, I’ve put around 2200 miles on it and not a single hiccup. I’ve adjusted the space cylinder once since scout 1500 miles but nothing else. The clutch feel is extremely stiff for the first few thousand miles but feels way easier now. The gear chatter from the flywheel is bearable and still is very close to oem feel. Very satisfied!

The service was fantastic and the clutch kit itself was as described. I feel this is a quality kit, but the clutch hose was not correct for my application, and no torque specs were provided as were noted on the installation videos. I am awaiting resolution on the clutch hose......

Really strong clutch. At first it was impossible to push the clutch down but after several months it soften up a bit. And now after two years it feels normal. But it does have a real short engagement and you have to rev it up a bit before shifting into gear. Other than that the CSC delete is awesome and saves the lifetime of my clutch

Love this combo! Medium weight flywheel with the six puck clutch and csc elimination kit. It is pretty noisy during break in and louder transmission whine overall but I like the race car sounds. The car takes a little more work to drive smoothly on the street and the pedal is a bit harder with slightly less travel. Great choice for a drift car or race car or if you really just like clutch kicking.

I have the Unsprung Full Face Clutch and Z1 Mid-weight flywheel kit. Good combination for your Z/G daily driver. Pros: While driven hard the car is more responsive, revs much faster and it stays at a higher rpm between gears compare to OEM setup. Cons: Fifth and Sixth gear while driving at low revs between 1,000 rpm - 1,800 rpm the vibrations of the transmission are transferred to the chassis, specially if you mounted the Z1 urethane mounts to your transmission and differential. The noise at low revs could be a bit annoying for some people but for those who loves to hear all type of sounds it won't really matter. After 1,900 rpm the noise will disappear and you will not notice any vibrations either. I got used to it and the performance gains out shadows the cons, at least in my opinion.

Immediately after install, there is an extremely loud, low-frequency vibration that sounds like your gears are about to explode. It happens in every gear below 2k RPM. Z1 knows about this but does not inform the customer of this dramatic change over stock OEM clutches. They perform very VERY well, but if you're NOT turning your street car into a track-day performing car, this low RPM shutter is almost unliveable during daily driving. Buyer beware that you are trading in daily-driveability, especially in parking lots and traffic, for performance. Other than that, the clutch bites blasting you off starts and getting power down to pavement very quickly, and likely to the detriment of tread life. The low mass flywheel means shifting gears come a lot faster as well. Overall, it's extremely agressive for street use, but good performance4 for track use.

Been driving for a week now with this set up on the Nismo. Drifting been more reliable than the POS OEM. Need to get a bit used to at low rpms. Love it. Jewel customer service work was perfect. Definitely will buy more fun toys at Z1motorsport.

Much smoother engagement than the OEM flywheel that was on the car but, it being a single mass, it is pretty loud. Mid weight flywheel is perfect for daily driving, the revs drop just a little bit quicker than stock and it’s just right. A little heavier than stock as well but I guess that’s to be expected. I would give 5 stars if it was a little quieter but it kinda sounds like a diesel if you listen closely.
