OEM Sunroof drain plug for the V36 chassis ('07-'08 G35 Sedan / G37 Coupe, Sedan / '14-'15 Q60). This drain plug helps to prevent water and debris entering the cabin from the sunroof. This drain plug also allows water to pass through the firewall via the sun roof drain hoses to maintain the sunroof's tight seal. Over time this plug may be subject to the weather and may need to be replaced.

This sunroof drain can be found in the top 2 corners of the firewall next to the A-pillars. It is the main cause for water found on the floor boards of your G. The baffle on the exit-side of the drain is known for clogging up which causes water to leak into the cabin of the vehicle and soaking the floor boards. Overtime the gasket that surrounds this drain starts to deteriorate which can also cause a leak.

G37 Sunroof Drain Mod: Some customers cut out the baffle and attach an 1in - 2in length 1/4th hose in it's place to allow the water to flow pass the firewall without having to worry about water making it's way into the cabin. This is a recommended "mod" to do to prevent the dreaded water soaked floor boards on both driver and passenger sides.
