The neutral position switch (also referred to as a neutral safety switch) is located on the rear extension housing on all Nissan and Infiniti models equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission. When in gear the plunger on the switch is depressed, showing the ECU that the transmission is in gear. If this switch fails you may have issues with UpRev ARC features like the 2-step launch control.
