Product Description
OEM Purge Valve Assembly is found on the back of the upper intake plenum on VQ35HR and VQ37VHR equipped Nissan and Infiniti models. This valve vents fumes from the fuel tank to the intake under certain conditions. When they fail this often results in poor running conditions, inconsistent idle, CEL illumination, and a variety of other symptoms. Replacement is simple and can be done with basic tools within a few short minutes.

Mine had been making noise for a couple years, but no CEL, so I ignored it. I should have swapped this part a long time ago. Not only is the noise gone, throttle response is better and the butt dyno says there is a bit more bottom end power. Only slight issue is that Nissan has changed the mounting holes and I had to repurpose the rubber grommets from the original part and use them as spacers between the solenoid and intake plenum.

It took me four (4) knock-off tries before I finally got this OEM. Walla! Like magic. Original NIMSO part at an excellent price, took five minutes to replace and away went the CEL I'd been fighting with for a very long time. As always with Z1, good parts only!

This little POS surprised the crap out of me. I have been having issues with inconsistent idle, occasional clicking (underhood) and a few other minor symptoms and this fixed all of them. No CEL, no error codes. I installed this in about 5 minutes and my idle was smooth and consistent, the car felt more peppy at low-mid RPM, clicking went away, the car just runs so much better! Thanks to the VQ35HR/VHR Facebook group for leading me to this.
