Yeap you definitely need this coming from an oe oil cooler and about to use Z1 Oil cooler.

Excellent part, and the short version was just what I was looking for to delete the stock oil cooler sandwich plate from a 2004 G35 VQ35DE (the DE and HR / VHR oil stud treads are the same). I wanted to eliminate the sometimes problematic leak from the stock cooler when I upgraded to the Z1 Setrab oil cooler kit which had its own sandwich plate. With a little dab of loctite red sealant I haven't had any problems with it so far.
