This assembly comes with a torque converter as well. Over time, the belt in the CVT will begin to stretch causing the transmission to fail, which in some cases calls for replacing the entire assembly.

Nissan ships CVTs half full with transmission fluid, so they recommend purchasing approximately 5qts* of NS-2 Fluid to completely fill the transmission.

* The needed fluid capacity may vary for each CVT depending on fluid level after installation. This transmission uses Nissan's NS-2 CVT Fluid (Sold Separately). Use of a fluid other than the recommended fluid can cause transmission damage. Check your service manual for correct transmission fluid capacity.
