Z1's Carb Legal Nissan Frontier Performance Tuning Package provides the best tuning solution for your VQ38-powered truck outside of our in-house services. The Level 1 Tune (base) requires no dyno tuning and is expertly pre-calibrated to suit your vehicle and meet California's CARB requirements. This tune is identical to the Level 1 Tune in our Performance Tuning Package and offers the same performance advantages, however, it meets all CARB requirements and has been tested to be in compliance with CARB standards.

Included with the purchase of the Level 1 Tune is an EcuTek OBDII bluetooth performance analyzer and adapter, used to install the provided ROM file onto your stock ECU through EcuTek's ECU Connect App. EcuTek allows full bluetooth vehicle integration with their ECU Connect app for mobile devices. The ECU Connect software gives you the ability to switch maps, read and reset diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), and gives you access to a huge number of diagnostic parameters. Through their bluetooth app you have access to data logging of hundreds of parameters, including detailed ignition and knock control, fuel injector timing, intake air temperature, and more!
*Please make sure your phone is compatible with the EcuTek connect app before ordering. When setting up your account through EcuTek Connect, please be sure to use the SAME EMAIL that you use for your Z1 account. Failure to do this may result in extended processing time.

THE GAINS
The dyno sheet below illustrates the average power gains seen on a truck with basic bolt-on modifications. Our test truck gained an additional 37lb-ft at 4400rpm and 32whp at 4400rpm. Peak torque moved from 5000rpm down to 4200rpm and increased by 23lb-ft while peak horsepower is maintained at 6200rpm, but increased by 8whp.

After purchasing this package, please follow the corresponding link below to provide our tuners with the required information. This MUST BE COMPLETED before a tune can be sent.
Know that once we have this information your file(s) have to be built. This process could take up to 3 business days. Not all ECU ROM files are available at this time. If your truck's ECU is not yet supported, it may take 1-3 additional weeks while EcuTek processes your ECU's ROM file.
